About us.

Acre Homecare is a Domiciliary Care provider based in the Rochdale area that ensures quality care is supplied to our Clients so they are left feeling safe, secure and supported in their own homes. We believe in care that involves our Clients and works with them to make sure they are confident that our Carers are acting in their best interest.

We achieve this by ensuring all our Carers match the high expectations we have set for ourselves through a rigorous selection process, and by consulting with our Clients on a personal level before we begin delivering Care.

Acre Homecare was founded in 2022 by Gill Nelson and James Guy.
James and Gill have known each other and have previously worked together on and off for 15 years in the Rochdale area.

Following the pandemic, we identified a need for local services delivered by a Rochdale organisation. Our experiences through one of social care’s most difficult periods showed us that local communities are best serviced by organisations with local experience, staff and skills.

Our values

Acre Homecare is committed to the people we support.
Our role is to support you, to live your life your way. Our person-centred approach places the people we support in the centre of all we do. We are not a service for anyone to fit into, we are local carers helping you to make your choices and meet your goals. Whether you experience frailty, mental illness or an acquired brain injury we are focused around your individual needs.

Caring for other people makes me feel valued. I have wonderful relationships with my clients. Everyday I make a difference to someone’s quality of life supporting them to remain living in their own homes independently. Honestly I love my job.
